French Government issues a Call for Projects to support the deployment of NFC mobile services

27 MAI 2011 - The French governement will invest 20 million euros in twenty to thirty NFC mobile projects in the next few months.

The aim of this Call for Projects is to fasten the deployment of NFC mobile services in France, with the help of local administration. The three sectors to be adressed are:

• Public Transport: ticketing, parking, bicycle and car rental, traveler information…
• Public Services: access to local administration, school management, traffic management...
• Local Information: information relevant to the time and place of the end user, cityzen information, cultural or touristic information, museums, commercial information...

To participate in this call for projects, local administrations need to file in a statement of interest before July 1st. They will then be pre-selected before October 14 before being helped financially.
